"Carlos, Carlos, Carlos" — referring to MLB umpire Carlos Torres — could become a new fan-favorite baseball quote.

New York Mets starter Marcus Stroman didn't get off to the start that he wanted in Tuesday's spring training game against the Miami Marlins, giving up a double to Starling Marte and a single to Garrett Cooper in the top half of the first inning. It could have been a lot worse, though, seeing as he nearly gave up a towering home run to Brian Anderson with two runners on. Luckily, it was foul.

Or was it?

It was eventually ruled a foul ball — and it's not the most clear replay, so it's kind of hard to tell — but Anderson evidently wasn't happy with that outcome.

Stroman, on the other hand, was obviously relieved with the ruling after being baffled originally.

Interestingly enough, a play earlier in the inning — the aforementioned double from Starling Marte — looked like it was pretty close to a home run as well.

As a reminder, it's spring training not only for the players but for the umpires, too! We all need a little bit of a warmup. Anderson isn't an exception to that rule — his at-bat ended in a strikeout, giving him 14 in 33 chances at the plate this spring.
