Paisley Park will be offering free visits to its atrium where the late icon’s ashes will be on display. Typically being open for tours, on April 21 (the 5th anniversary of Prince’s death) from 9am to 9pm, people will be allowed inside for limited time increments via reservation. Masks are required, park officials will be in accordance with COVID restrictions, and reservations can be made here.

According to Star Tribune, “there will be 70 time slots available, with 20 people per slot, [meaning] a total of 1,400 people can be accommodated. [Also,] no cellphone photos will be allowed.” Currently, time slots are sold out, but there is an option to join the waitlist and a virtual memorial will be available.

Six months after his death, his "private estate and production complex" first opened as a museum and the Purple Rain singer’s ashes were placed in a custom urn that greeted visitors at the beginning of the estate’s tour. Three months later, the urn was moved, at the request of the family, to a more reclusive area, but was entirely removed from public view in early 2019, much to the disappointment of fans. However, guests who visit on April 21st will be able to leave flowers, gifts, and other memorials near the Love Symbol at the Paisley Park entrance.

In a statement, Paisley Park executive director, Alan Seiffert, expressed, “we celebrate his life and legacy every day at Paisley Park, a place that Prince wanted to share with the world. So, on this day especially, we acknowledge the incredible force and inspiration Prince is in people's lives and open up our doors for them to pay their respects.”
