Nothing says baseball quite like snow on Opening Day.

The Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians opened their season on Thursday at Comerica Park and it did not take long to have our first unique moment of the 2021 season, courtesy of Miguel Cabrera.

The 37-year-old Tigers slugger stepped into the box to face the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner in Shane Bieber and showed he still has plenty left in the tank, hitting a rocket over the right field wall to give Detroit a 2-0 lead.

To make the moment even better, Cabrera could not see through the snow whether or not the ball cleared the wall and slid into second base thinking he had a double.

The home run also inched Cabrera closer to multiple milestones. It was his 488th career dinger, leaving him 12 home runs shy of reaching the 500-home run mark.

It also moved him to just 133 hits away from 3,000 career hits — two milestones the future Hall of Famer could surely achieve in 2021.
