This Easter Sunday, Rihanna attended a Stop Asian Hate rally in New York City and stood in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community members who organized the march.

Tina Truong, Rihanna’s assistant, shared photos of the two of them at the protest together on her Instagram. She captioned the images “This is what solidarity looks like! #stopaapihate #stopasianhate #callitahatecrime."

In her post, Truong also included images of the Fenty mogul clad in all black, sunglasses, and a mask as she held a neon pink protest sign that read “#StopAsianHate” on the reverse side of the sign it read “Hate = Racism Against God!”

Later, in a video shared by Truong, Rihanna is heard giving her Instagram handle to one of the march protestors. The attendee was in shock when he realized it was @badgalriri in the flesh. Tina captioned the video, “When Rih give you her IG handle but you think she trolling,” as the man was heard questioning, “That’s you?”

After the March 16 Atlanta area shooting, that devastatingly left eight people dead, six of whom were women of Asian descent, Rihanna took to Twitter to condemn the violent and racist act, writing, “What happened yesterday in Atlanta was brutal, tragic & is certainly not an isolated incident by any means. AAPI hate has been rampantly perpetuated & it’s disgusting! I’m heartbroken for the Asian community & my heart is with the loved ones of those we lost. The hate must stop."
