The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain (also known as The Ukes) is a delightful ensemble of musicians that perform with a wide range of ukuleles. The group formed in 1985 and their latest cover has caught the attention of the internet. Rightfully so, it’s absolutely delightful.

The Ukes took on the challenge of covering the classic Nirvana track “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and turned it into an incredible version of the song.

Nirvana has seen its fair share of unique covers lately as AI software recently created a song that sounds almost exactly like the legendary group.

The mental health organization Over The Bridge used Google's "Magenta" AI software to create the track and did so for a good cause. Bringing awareness to the struggles that musicians and others face on a daily basis.

The aim of the project is to create an album “list to music’s mental health crisis.” The project created music by artists that are a part of the infamous 27 club, musicians who have passed away at the age of 27, and draw inspiration from songwriters like Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison of The Doors, Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix, and more.

"As long as there’s been popular music, musicians and crews have struggled with mental health at a rate far exceeding the general adult population," Over The Bridge said on the project's website. "This issue hasn’t just been ignored. It’s been romanticized, by things like the 27 Club—a group of musicians whose lives were all lost at just 27 years old."
