Trevor Bauer is firmly in the "no publicity is bad publicity" camp.

The new Los Angeles Dodgers righty faced off against one of his former teams Saturday afternoon, and while pitching against Cleveland, he had himself some fun:

José Ramírez, a former teammate of Bauer's, drew a walk in the first inning as Bauer telegraphed what pitches he planned to throw. But after flying out to left field in the third inning, Bauer did strike out the reigning American League MVP runner-up in the sixth inning.

Ramírez doesn't appear to have taken any offense to Bauer's antics. Mandy Bell of MLB.com says that even after being struck out by Bauer - who apparently had one eye closed - Ramírez couldn't help by crack a smile as the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner playfully celebrated.

Whatever fun Bauer may have had, he allowed four runs - three of which were earned - and four hits in 5 2/3 innings. Bauer did strike out seven batters, however. Future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw will start on opening day for the Dodgers, though the Dodgers signed Bauer to a three-year/$102 million deal hoping that he, Kershaw and Walker Buehler form a dominant 1-2-3 that allows the team to repeat as World Series Champions.
