The beloved 1987 classic "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" is getting a makeover.
The film, originally starring Steve Martin and the late John Candy, is being remade for 2020 with Will Smith and Kevin Hart starring in the lead roles, Variety reports.
No specific plot details have been released, but the movie is being described as a modern update on the 1987 film which saw two businessmen trying to get home to Chicago in time for the holidays despite a slew of travel disasters.
The remake will find Smith and Hart also playing characters that are forced to put aside their differences and work together to make it home to their loved ones.
Hart's HartBeat Productions and Smith's Westbrook Studios are behind the remake, which is set to be written by "Brooklyn 99" writer Aeysha Carr.
This isn't the first classic to get a modern facelift. Earlier this month, a "Dirty Dancing" sequel was officially confirmed 33 years after the romance film's theatrical release in 1987.
Jennifer Grey, who played Frances "Baby" Houseman, will once again have the time of her life as she is set to star in the film and serve as executive producer.
