Our hearts still melt when we hear Brett Young's "Lady" and get reminded that it's a song he wrote for his eldest daughter Presley, even before she was born! But now that he's a father of two, is he planning to write a song for his newest daughter, Rowan, as well?
“My first reaction was like, 'That’s unreasonable to think that you can just do that,'" admits Brett in a statement from his label. "And then the more I thought about it, I was like, 'No, I definitely have to do it.'
"So, I can’t write the same song. That’s obvious," he continues. "I need it to be different enough that it feels special to baby number two. And so, I think the big difference will be that I wrote Presley’s song before she was born.
"To make this one a little different, wait and spend some time getting to know personality traits and all of that, and kind of have it be coming from a little bit different place as a parent.”
