It was an eventful night as each finalist took the stage for a special performance with their coach and celebrated how far they’d come in the competition.
The evening ended up being an extra-special for Country singer, Bryce Leatherwood, who walked away with the grand prize of $100,000 cash, a recording contract with Universal Music Group, and a vacation for two at Universal Parks & Resorts in Florida.
Leatherwood was a member of Blake Shelton’s team and marked Shelton’s 9th win as a coach on the show. Other coaches this season included John Legend, Camila Cabello and Gwen Stefani.
“You’ve already made it man,” Blake told Bryce ahead of the results. “I know my genre and I know the Country music fans out there. You have a career out there.”
The feat was extra-sweet for Shelton as he recently announced he has plans to retire from the show after its 23rd season. For his final go, Blake will coach alongside newbies Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan as well as returning coach, Kelly Clarkson.
