LISTEN NOW: Morgan Wallen - On The Record
The 4th full-length effort from the Tennessee native is sending shockwaves across music, with features from Tate McRae, Eric Church, HARDY, ERNEST, and Post Malone, and enough buzz to keep the summer sizzling.
"We have been talking about doing a song for a while," Wallen shares about his collab with Tate McRae. "We've expressed to each other for a couple of years now that we we're a fan of what each other was doing and just talked about doing a song, but it just hadn't worked out up up until now."
"It's my first female feature and collaboration. So that's cool. I'm excited to see how it goes and, it seems just like one of those songs that's a no-brainer, and she made it better."
As for his track, "Number 3 and Number 7," Morgan shares, "I cut that song strictly because I wanted Eric Church on the song."
"I've said many times how much of an impact Eric has had on me as a musician and as an artist," Wallen admits, "and now he's become one of my closest friends. Just to have a mentor and a friend like that is super special. I'm still a big fan of his art and the way that he evolves as a musician, and, I think as long as we keep making songs that fit well together, he's just gonna be a staple on the things that I do for the future."
