Rebel Wilson knows there’s nothing basic about a little black dress.
The 41-year-old actress dazzled as she was dressed to the nines on the red carpet at the Australian Academy Awards recently.

Wilson put her slender limbs on display decked out in a black embroidered Balmain minidress. With her blonde locks cascading down past her shoulders, the “Pitch Perfect” star accessorized her high fashion look with chandelier earrings, bronze makeup and matching lipstick. A pair of black stiletto heels perfectly finished off her chic ensemble.

The Australian comedian later took to Instagram to share an image in the stylish number with her fans.
In the snap, Wilson has one hand on her hip and looks longingly into the camera while leaning up against a huge window. “Feeling very contemplative,” she cheekily captioned the photo.
Her followers were quick to post their affection for her latest post.

“Nailed the pensive,” wrote one fan.
“Gorgeous! What’s your secret,” added another.
“Looking stunning as usual,” commented a third.
While Wilson has been very open about her weight loss journey during her self-billed “Year of Health,” she recently disclosed how some of the members of her inner circle did not want her to alter her physique.
"I got a lot of pushback from my own team, actually, here in Hollywood, when I said, 'OK, I'm going to do this Year of Health. I feel like I'm really going to physically transform and change my life,'" Wilson told BBC Breakfast earlier this month. "And they were like, 'Why? Why would you want to do that?' Because I was earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl and being that person."
Wilson continued, sharing that she started her journey because she felt that her habits at the time were not the best for her.
"I knew deep down inside that some of the emotional eating behaviors I was doing was not healthy,” she added. “I did not need a tub of ice cream every night. That was me numbing emotions using food, which wasn't the healthiest thing."
Wilson went on to drop more than 70 pounds.
“I’m proud of myself for doing it, “ she continued, “and also maintaining it.”
