
The cast and crew of Yellowstone are mourning the loss of one of their own. Legendary Texan cowboy, Buster Welch, who appeared in season 4 of the Paramount series died Sunday, June 12 at the age of 94.

Welch was a well-known cowboy before his appearance in the hit drama series for his accomplishments in the cutting horse and ranching industries. He also earned a spot in the Texas Hall of Fame, the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame, the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame, and more.
"We're saddened to hear of the passing of Buster Welch,” Yellowstone creator, Taylor Sheridan wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Welch. “You might recognize him from #YellowstoneTV season 4, but the horse trainer and cutting expert was a legend long before that. May he rest in peace.”
Buster appeared in the fifth episode of season four as himself when he put Jimmy (Jefferson White) through cowboy training following his exile from the Dutton ranch to 6666 Ranch in Texas.
As stated by 6666 Ranch's foreman in the episdoe, "There's three gods in Texas. The Almighty himself, Buster Welch, and George Strait." Rest In Peace, Buster Welch.
