MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX/AP) — Six firefighters of the Vienna Fire Department are being treated at local hospitals for moderate to severe burns and cuts from flying debris after responding to a house fire where there was an explosion.
The Maries County Sheriffs Office and the Vienna FD are investigating the fire that took place on the 13000 block of Highway 28 W.
Authorities, including the state fire marshal, are still looking into the cause of the fire.
Vienna is a small town of about 600 residents located about 150 miles east of Kansas City.
