WATCH: Adam Long is a PGA Tour rookie on the rise from St. Charles

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (KMOX) - Adam Long earned his way into this 101st PGA Championship with a win in the Desert Classic earlier this year. The Francis Howell High School graduate will take on what's known as one of the toughest tests in golf this weekend in New York.

He's playing Bethpage Black Course for the first time in his career. 

The Tour win in Florida meant a more than $1 million in prize money for Long, as well as a two-year extension on his PGA Tour card and automatic spots in the next Players Championship, Arnold Palmer Invitational and Memorial Invitational.
