ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — After nearly ten years in Chesterfield, Balaban's is moving back to the Central West End. Owners Brian Underwood and Steve McIntyre sold the business to Karen Halper, who owns other businesses in the neighborhood including the Mahler Ballroom and Enchanting Embellishments.
The name, the furniture and the menu are coming back to the Central West End with a lot of original favorites -- but the retail wine shop won't be a part of it. Balaban's last day on Clarkson Road in Chesterfield is August 10th.

The new location, 412 Euclid, is across the street from the old location -- the current site of the recently opened UpDown STL.
