When the St. Louis Blues return from the NHL All-Star break next weekend, they'll be three points out of playoff spot, with at least one game in hand on every team they'll be chasing.
Head coach Craig Berube says these Blues have found a new resiliency in their game. Case and point being St. Louis' most recent win in Anaheim where they first went down 1-0, but climbed back for a 5-1 victory.
"They've found a way and learned how to deal with things that go wrong in a game," Berube says. "We're a lot mentally tougher now and that's a good thing because this game nowadays, a 2-0 lead is nothing. Teams come back all the time in this game so you have to be ready for it and you've got to be to handle that adversity."
Likely the busiest Blues player during All-Star break will be their lone representative in San Jose – Ryan O'Reilly. He says he'll know a lot of his temporary teammates on the Central Division squad and is most looking forward to playing with Colorado forward Nathan MacKinnon.
On Friday night, O'Reilly will compete in the Skills Competition as part of All-Star Weekend. You can watch it live at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.

— St. Louis Blues (@StLouisBlues) January 25, 2019Although the Blues are in a hole with 33 games left in the season, it seems like a positive for St. Louis that a majority of those games will be on the road. St. Louis is above .500 when playing away from Enterprise Center.
"We put ourselves in a good position here," Berube says. "We're a good road team and just have to keep that 'one at a time' mentality. Just do and handle what we can control."
