BOSTON (KMOX) — Blues superfan Laila Anderson is still gathering fans of her own. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh sent Laila a letter inviting her and her family to see more of Boston.

The 11-year-old suffering from a rare immunodeficiency disease called HLH was a huge source of inspiration as the Blues turned their season around.

He says Boston has won plenty of sports championships, and is now glad Laila gets to enjoy that feeling. As someone who suffered from a serious disease himself as a child, Walsh called Laila's story inspirational and says he's praying for her continued recovery.
