PHILADELPHIA (94WIP) -- Bryce Harper grounded out sharply to first-base in his first at-bat with the Philadelphia Phillies. Of course, he received a standing ovation.
Well have to see if the B.F.I.B. will top this when Paul Goldschmidt exits the first base dugout at Busch Stadium next Thursday.
Harper's first ovation of the day came before the game, during the player introductions.
Harper bowed to the fans in right field when he took the field for the first.
Earlier in the day, Harper had the internet buzzing thanks to his Phanatic, Gritty t-shirt he was wearing on his way into the ballpark.
He also rocked lime green cleats, with the Phillies Phanatic mascot on them, during the game.
