JUPITER, Fla. (KMOX) - John Brebbia's beard is coming back in 2019.

The St. Louis Cardinals pitcher confirmed last week, he'll start the 2019 regular season fresh faced – shaving after batting practice on opening day – then won't be shaving again until after Game 4 of the World Series.

Brebbia has already been having a lot of fun this spring training, as he also gave out "Birdentine's Day" flowers.

His beard became internationally known after last season, when he took his grizzly beard overseas to play in the Japan Series with MLB All-Stars.
