CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) - Chesterfield Police say a Defiance woman is charged with second-degree murder, following a restaurant parking lot death on Friday afternoon.

Thirty-seven-year-old Kathryn Marsh is accused of running down 41-year-old Matthew Baker of Villa Ridge with her car in the Babbo's lot.

"We had several witnesses. It was 2:30 in the afternoon on a Friday down in the valley, so several people saw the actual event. Once we started talking to them, we had a pretty good idea that it definitely was not an accident, " said Chesterfield Police Sgt. Keith Rider.

Rider says the suspect and victim had been in a relationship for about four years.

Marsh's bond is set at half-a-million dollars.
