KMOX's May 2020 Voice of Caring Partner is Sweet Babies!
Sweet Babies believes every baby deserves to have a good start in life. Sweet Babies is an all-volunteer nonprofit providing essential childcare items to under resourced mothers and families with newborns and young children through two local hospitals, maternity clinics and several other nonprofit organizations.
Sweet Babies mission is to serve at-risk newborns and young children by providing childcare supplies keeping them warm, safe and comfortable. This includes diapers, baby wipes, clothes, portable cribs for newborns providing a safe sleep environment, and many other essential baby items.
Sweet Babies has impacted our local community through the efforts of all the volunteers who donate their time and talent, as well as all the baby supplies given to families requiring a helping hand. Since 2010, when our founder Alice Provaznik overheard nurses in a hospital elevator talk about buying clothes for newborn babies, and then addressing the challenge; Sweet Babies has served over 10,000 St. Louis area families. We will continue to serve many more mothers and families with newborns and young children so long as there is a need.
