ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Flowerama, the can't-miss flower shop at Big Bend Blvd. and Laclede Station Rd.  is closing its doors soon after the Mother's Day holiday.

Owner Jeanie Normand says crazy drivers at that intersection are keeping customers away.

"We can't get anyone in here and once they're in here they're scared to leave," Normand tells KMOX. "(Drivers) just can't seem to slow down or let somebody turn in. And they get very belligerent when you try to turn in, they are honking at you constantly.

"I've sat behind people tyring to get in here and I'm thinking, 'Oh good, they're going into the store.' And they can't, they just say 'forget it' and they keep going."

Normand says she constantly gets honked at while trying to make a left turn into her own parking lot. There's no left-hand turn lane on Laclede Station Rd., so southbound traffic can get backed up while someone is trying to turn into Normand's store.

She posted on Facebook that "will be ceasing day to day operations at the end of June."

After Mother's Day, she says they'll sell off the spinning frogs, cats and dogs, and close up the flower shop for good.
