SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (KMOX) — If you've been to the Illinois State Fair in recent years you probably remember the yellow "Giant Slide." Well you could be its next owner and operator.
It's currently up for sale on UsedRides.com for $135,000.
The Giant Slide has been a staple of the Illinois State Fair for decades, but Prairie State Bank & Trust owns it and isn't interested in keeping it, according to WICS in Springfield.
The report by WICS says along with the price of purchase will come additional expenses on insurance, maintenance, staffing and miscellaneous charges for daily operation of the slide during the week-long State Fair.
The 2019 Illinois State Fair is set for Thursday, Aug. 8 through Sunday, Aug. 18.
