RECALL: Hamburger, hot dog buns sold at local stores may contain plastic

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Flower Foods is recalling hamburger and hot dog buns, along with other bakery products, for a choking hazard.

Officials believe small pieces of hard plastic may have been introduced during production. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.

The products were distributed under a variety of brand names to various stores in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. 

Local Walmart, Aldi and Target stores are among several places in the area that carry the recalled products. 

If you have purchased any of the following products, you are urged to not consume them and return them to the store from which they were bought for a full refund.
