JUPITER, Fla. (KMOX) - John Brebbia wants to make sure people recognize the old tradition which falls on February 14. The holiday which he says came even before the "hallmark spin-off" we know as Valentine's Day.

It's "Birdentine's Day."

He says it's an old St. Louis Cardinals tradition, older than Valentine's Day itself. He had just two dozen roses to give, but it was "not nearly enough for all the special people that are here."

As good as he was at showing the love for his colleagues, he may not have been so great with this family. KMOX asked if he had sent any roses to his wife.

"Umm. Oh boy, I'm gonna go no comment on that one," Brebbia says.
