NEW YORK CITY (KMOX) - It was a great night to be in New York if you were a St. Louis Blues fan near West 14th Street and 6th Avenue, Monday night. That's where the 4-2 Game 2 win over the San Jose Sharks was celebrated by the patrons of Wood and Ales, NYC's premier Blues-fan bar.
Our Tom Ackerman drove about 40 blocks down 7th Avenue, from his temporary home at the New York Athletic Club near Central Park to take in the game. It truly bleeds as blue as Bobby's Place, Llewellyn's, O'B Clark's or any other Blues bar around the greater St. Louis area.
Last night, there was a trumpeter playing "Gloria" after the win and "When the Blues Go Marching In" after goals.
