A look back at the last time a St. Louis team won a Game 7 in Boston

BOSTON (KMOX) - Of course the biggest drought that could end Wednesday night in Boston would be the 52 years that the St. Louis Blues have waited to win a Stanley Cup Final. But there's something else that St. Louis hasn't done in 52 years, that could also happen that same night. 

Beating Boston, in Beantown, in Game 7, of a professional sports championship event. 

This morning on KMOX, our Tom Ackerman took a look back at the last time it happened, which was in the 1967 World Series. Bob Gibson was on the mound for the third time in that series and he had one of the greatest performances in World Series history. 

But in the '67 World Series, Boston won Game 6 comfortably by a score of 8-4 and we know how that ended.
