
HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOX/AP) — (UPDATED 2:35 p.m.) Hazelwood police are investigating how a man's body was delivered to a recycling center.
Police were called to the Republic Service Recycling Center on Byassee Drive at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
The body of a man was found in the processing center amid recyclable materials, AP reports. His age or identity have not been released.
Capt. Mark McKeon says investigators suspect the body arrived at the center with an outside pickup and are working to determine where it came from.
The investigation is being conducted by the Hazelwood Criminal Investigation Unit. Police say a medical examiner will identify the body and determine a cause and time of death.
