ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An Air Force veteran with no known family will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery this morning, but he won't be buried alone.
Several people are already answering the call to attend the funeral for Robert Wunderlich, to thank him for his service to our country.
The call comes from USO Board member and Honor Flight official Karl Lund, who in a Facebook post declares it an "all hands on deck" situation.
Lund asks parents to skip work - even pull their kids out of school - for the 10 a.m. ceremony Friday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In Lund's post on the Greater St. Louis Honor Flight's Facebook page, he says, "Robert will not be alone at his own funeral. We are all family and we will all be there."
Wunderlich will be buried with military honors.
