According to Accuweather, the warehouses caught fire late Tuesday and on the Fourth of July, firefighters were battling the blaze fueled by gallons of alcoholic debris.

July 3, 2019 Woodford County Emergency Management Director Drew Chandler told WKYT-TV that two barrel warehouses caught fire late Tuesday. Crews were able to put one out, but the other kept burning for hours.

July 3, 2019 Officials believe it may have been caused by lightning.A nearby road has been shut down as crews fight the blaze. Chandler estimated firefighters would be working at the scene late into Wednesday night.
Beam Suntory, which owns Jim Beam, issued a statement via Twitter Tuesday saying the company "was thankful no one was injured in this incident, and we are grateful to the courageous firefighters from multiple jurisdictions who brought the fire under control and prevented it from spreading."

July 3, 2019 The company owns 126 barrel warehouses in Kentucky that hold about 3.3 million barrels of whiskey and the company reassured consumers that this incident will "not impact the availability of Jim Beam."
