SPANISH LAKE, Mo. (KMOX) — Saint Louis County Police have charged a 23-year old man with the shooting death of 19-year old Kelvon Phillips.
Phillips was found dead early Sunday morning outside the Budget Inn on Dunn Road.
Police say Ivan Henley got sat in the front passenger's seat of Phillips vehicle. Henley opened fire on Phillips, took his gun, then fled the area. Phillips was pronounced at the scene after first responders arrived.
Henley is charged with Murder Second, Armed Criminal Action and Tampering with Evidence. He's being held at St. Louis County Jail on $1 million bond.
