ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- Three people have been charged in connection with a burglary-turned-standoff in north St. Louis Tuesday morning. 17-year-old Loyse Dozier is accused of breaking into a home in the 4800 block of Bessie and holding some of the people inside against their will. Everyone eventually got out, but the suspect remained inside for 9 hours -- eventually getting arrested when SWAT took over. Dozier is in jail on a $100,000 cash only bond on burglary, kidnapping, unlawful use of a weapon and other charges.  41-year-old Natasha Carter faces one count of fourth degree assault after allegedly punching one of the victims from inside the house multiple times during the police investigation. She was released on her own recognizance. Police say 35-year-old Taurean Russell was part of a large crowd that tried to push toward the scene -- he refused commands to get away. He received a court summons.© 2019 KMOX (Entercom). All rights reserved.
