LISTEN: 9/11 survivors from World Trade Center met for the first time at Cards game

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Jason Jenson and Krista Salvatore had never met before the St. Louis Cardinals held a pregame ceremony in their honor on September 11, 2018, at Busch Stadium. It was supposed to be a day to share with their families and friends on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country.

Both Jenson and Salvatore lived in the St. Louis area: Jenson, a Collinsville native... Salvatore, originally from Tampa.

Both were 9/11 survivors.

As it turns out, they had even more in common than they ever imagined.

"I (met) with her and said: '61st floor,'" Jenson recalled. "And she said: 'Oh my gosh. I was there, too.'"

Hear their stories of escaping the second tower after it was hit, trying to contact loved ones – and how their lives have changed since that day.
