McDonald County, Mo (KMOX) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued an amber alert for a pair of missing siblings from a town near the Missouri-Arkansas border. McDonald County Sheriff says Hilda Melendez is suspected of taking Samuel and Genesis Padron, 4- and 8-years-old were last seen just before 9 a.m.
The suspect is a noncustodial parent that assaulted the woman who was watching the children and took them from the home in Southwest City, Mo. Melendez's mother Betty may also be in the vehicle.
Troopers believe the suspect's vehicle is a 2009 red Ford Flex. It's believed they are en route to the country of Mexico.
