ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Since announcing they would open parts of the upper level of the Dome at America's Center for the March 21 game against Los Angeles, the St. Louis BattleHawks have been adding sections with available seats. While he says the team doesn't release ticket sales numbers, President Kurt Hunzeker says he couldn't be more pleased with the fans' response."The opening of the top and the continued fanning all the way across to, I believe now we're full-on back of the end zone to back of the end zone, is in response to listening to the St. Louis community," he said.

The team has been opening sections based on demand. Hunzeker says they're now in their fifth round of openings, and counting. "This is where the analytics of business really help out. Our great partners, not only at the dome but at Ticketmaster, have helped set the stage."

— Kurt Hunzeker (@khunzeker) March 8, 2020Hunzeker tells Sports on a Sunday Morning that he understands the whole L.A. narrative, but he doesn't think that's the driving force behind the surge in sales."It is all about the St. Louis community supporting this team, which is a really, really good team and a great, fun team to watch. And, I think how the fan base and the energy of the dome has projected on TV, St. Louis wants to be a part of that," Hunzeker said.
