Boil order issued for over 3,000 St. Louis County residents

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A boil order has been issued for a portion of St. Louis County Friday morning after water pressure dropped due to a power interruption at a Missouri American Water treatment plant. 

Residents are advised to boil water for at least three minutes before drinking or cooking with it. Tap water is OK for washing, bathing and other non-consumable uses.
