ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Cardinals have announced updates to is 2020 regular season schedule after seven games have been postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the team.
Four games that were postponed against the Milwaukee Brewers will be played in three doubleheaders set for Sept. 14, 16 and 25.
Three games postponed against the Detroit Tigers will be played in two doubleheaders set for Aug. 13 and Sept. 10.
Per a recent change in MLB rules, those doubleheaders will be played at seven-inning games.
St. Louis missed the stretch of seven games from July 31 through Aug. 6 after an outbreak of 13 people on the team's traveling party testing positive for COVID-19. Six of the seven players were identified as catcher Yadier Molina, infielders Paul DeJong, Edmundo Sosa, and Rangel Ravelo, and pitchers Junior Fernández and Kodi Whitley.
