ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Be careful driving through Adam Wainwright's neighborhood, you might just accidentally interrupt a long toss session as the St. Louis Cardinals pitcher has been throwing baseballs across the street outside his home.
The 38-year-old is apparently doing whatever he can to stay in baseball shape as the team is waiting to find out what the next move will be after an outbreak of 17 COVID-19 positive players and staff members.
The 14-year veteran has started one of the five games the Cards have played this season. He held the Pirates to just one run on three hits in a 9-1 victory on July 25.
Another note from the video, at the very beginning you can hear a young child yell, "You can do it daddy!" which is just adorable to know that he's working out and spending time with his kids.
He's not the only Cardinals pitcher to get creative as the team will now miss 13 games in a row, after the announcement of this week's series against the Pittsburgh Pirates being postponed. Jack Flaherty shared a picture on Twitter last week of how he's able to still throw a bullpen session while self-quarantining inside a small hotel room.
