ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It's a sure sign that spring is around the corner in St. Louis when the City Museum opens its rooftop – and that is indeed happening on Friday morning.
Visitors can check out the dome of the old planetarium at the St. Louis Science Center, the Big Eli Ferris Wheel which was left behind by a traveling circus, the famous school bus dangling over the building's edge and more.
"Dear City Museum Guests:
The City Museum is open and our team continues to welcome visitors to enjoy a fun, and safe adventure.
The safety and well-being of our guests and team members has always been our top priority. We have specific, stringent sanitation protocols in place for every operating department. While closely monitoring the evolving situation, we have re-doubled our rigorous sanitizing protocol and will continue to follow the guidance of state and local health agencies.
All guest and team member touch points including surfaces, railings, technology screens, handles and doors are sanitized throughout the day. Hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial soap are available throughout the park and signs have been installed to remind team members and guests of health and hygiene best practices. In addition to the steps outlined above, we are asking team members who are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home and contact their healthcare provider. Please check our website for current operating hours.
We look forward to entertaining you."
Earlier this month, the City Museum was named among the "Best Children's Museum" in the U.S. according to an online vote.
