According to Pew, only 20% of people have ever met a journalist.
So it's no surprise there are so many misconceptions about what we do and how.
Most people believe sources are paid, that details are exaggerated and political agendas created in newsrooms all over the country.
So, here's the plan:
Each reporter/anchor will spend a few hours at a spot just talking with people. We want to answer your questions about decisions that are made and stories that are covered. We also want to ask you - what's your number 1 concern? What keeps you up at night? What do you want to hear politicians and leaders talk about as we head towards November?
