ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- The XFL logo is at center field. The word Battlehawks is painted in the end zones. The gold striping is gone. The Dome at America's Center is ready to host its first pro football game since 2016 on Sunday, when the St. Louis Battlehawks face the New York Guardians in the fledgling XFL."It's a long time coming, but the wait is always worth it," says Dome General Manager Matthew Dewey, "we cannot wait to kickoff on Sunday at 2 o'clock."
Dewey says despite the years that have passed, there was little catching up to do. "That's the good thing about this venue, it's ready for football. It was made for football and its ready for football."
