deadlift, weights, workout

(KMOX) - Breaking into Willie Murphy's home is not a good idea and one New York burglar learned that the hard way.

A man broke into the home of the 82-year-old, award-winning bodybuilder who can deadlift 225 pounds and was met with the fight of his life. She explained the story to WHAM-TV, saying the man started pounding on her door at 11 p.m. yelling that he was sick and needed an ambulance. She told him she was going to call the police – but she didn't need them.

"I hear a loud noise," she told WHAM-TV. "I’m thinking, what the heck was that? The young man is in my home. He broke the door.

"I picked up the table, and I went to work on him. The table broke.

"I grabbed the shampoo. Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing.

"I got the broom. He’s pulling the broom. I’m hitting him with the broom."

"He picked the wrong house to break into," she concluded.

The man was sent to the hospital for his injuries and Murphy was applauded by the first responders who arrived at her home, WHAM reports.
