ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Joe Buck says he doesn't keep a lot of autographed sports memorabilia just because the person is famous for their athletic feats. He'd rather display the pieces of sports history that have a special meaning or funny story behind them.

That includes, in his home office, a poster signed by Jesse Owens of him on the podium at the 1936 Olympics. The message was penned by Owens to Buck in 1976. There's also a baseball that Buck's mom gave him, that's filled with signatures from Baseball Hall of Famers at an induction weekend, "there's no telling who's on that ball."

But there's one thing Buck says he would "take to my grave" if he had the option. It's a replica 1982 St. Louis Cardinals World Series trophy. It was a Christmas gift from his dad Jack Buck in 1982, when Joe Buck was 12-years-old and had watched Game 7 of the World Series in the KMOX booth about two months prior.

"And I'd never seen my dad so excited to give a gift," Joe Buck says. "And he gave me this and it was like the coolest thing. And it still is."
