ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — No need to worry if your local Walgreens healthcare clinic will soon be closing.
The Walgreens plan to close nearly 40% of its in-store healthcare clinics nationwide will not be felt in the St. Louis area.
SSM Health operates 23 Express Clinics inside local Walgreens Drugstores. All 23 will remain open — with SSM Health saying it will continue to offer high quality, convenient care.
Walgreens will close 150 of the clinics it operates on its own — but will keep open more than 200, including the 23 in the St. Louis area — that are run in partnership with health care providers like SSM Health.
