WEBSTER GROVES, Mo (KMOX) - It's a sad time in the newsroom for one local paper because after this Friday, their print edition will be suspending publication – possibly for good.
This Friday is the final Webster-Kirkwood Times.
Editor Don Corrigan says the local paper relies on local retailers and restaurants to advertise. But they're being forced to shut down or change operations due to the stay-at-home order in St. Louis.
The paper, he says, will try to post stories online and e hopes for a full comeback at the end of the pandemic.
The decision comes one week after the Riverfront Times also announced the end its print edition. Two more papers, The South County Times and West End Word, also announced the end of its papers in the coming week.
