(KMOX) - It's no longer just Barbie and Ken dolls as Mattel has released a new line of children's toys that can be accessorized to be a boy, a girl, neither or both. It's called the Creatable World line and the six new dolls are gender neutral.

The dolls allow children to interchange hair, clothes, and accessories, and come in varying skin tones.

The company states the new line is in response to a demand that "kids don’t want their toys dictated by gender norms."

"We see this line as an opportunity for us to open up that dialogue around what dolls are for and who dolls are for," Kim Culmone, senior vice president of Mattel Fashion Doll Design told DailyWire. "And also as the world begins the celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity, we absolutely fundamentally believed it was time to launch a doll line free of labels and free of rules for kids."

In our world, dolls are as limitless as the kids who play with them. Introducing #CreatableWorld, a doll line designed to keep labels out and invite everyone in. #AllWelcomeShop now: https://t.co/UyaYXb0BYf pic.twitter.com/k2tnPDCCiM
