
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Former St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha is on his way to New York according to multiple reports that he's signed a deal with the New York Mets for one year and a guaranteed $3 million, with up to $7 million in incentives.
The 2015 All-Star was demoted to the bullpen in his last season in St. Louis. He was originally drafted by St. Louis in the first round of the 2012 draft and made his MLB debut in St. Louis a year later.
Over his first three seasons in St. Louis (2013-15) he was 26-14 with a 3.21 ERA and eight K's per nine innings.
