JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) - A new specialty license plate is giving Missouri drivers a chance to show their support for police officers.

The new "Back the Blue" specialty plates were unveiled Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Jefferson City.

The license plate has the shape of the state filled in black with a blue line across the middle, to resemble the "Thin Blue Line" emblem that is associated with supporting police officers.

The plates will cost $15 more than the normal Missouri vehicle registration fees and from that charge, a $10 donation will be made to the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation.
