JEFFERSON CITY, Mo (KMOX) - Missouri is going to stay in Phase One of its reopening plan for a while longer. Governor Mike Parson says Phase One was initially set to expire on May 31, but it's now going through June 15.
"Events such as graduations, county fairs, summer schools and camps can still take place," Parson says. "There are currently no limitations on social gatherings as long as precautions are taken and six feet of distance can be maintained."
But Parson reiterates those are guidelines and he won't be directing state agencies to enforce them.
When asked what Phase 2 will look like, Parson didn't have an answer yet, saying that we're soon going to have to learn to live without phases and guidelines again.
