ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A man protesting the killing of George Floyd was killed early Saturday morning, when he was dragged after getting caught between the tandem trailers of a FedEx truck.
A video posted to Facebook shows fellow protestors pleading with the driver to back up. However, the driver drove off, dragging the man for several blocks. When the truck stops, police arrive. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It happened as protestors were blocking I-70 at North Broadway in downtown St. Louis. At one point they started a fire in the middle of the street.
The protest started peacefully in front of St. Louis Police headquarters on Olive. Demonstrators then marched to I-70 on the north edge of downtown. The protest ended at around 2:30 am when shots were fired. There are no reports of anyone being shot. There are also no reports of arrests.
